My Take On The Abortion Issue

The only thing I see changing with an Obama administration is the outright boldness of their 'shut-you-up' tactics. Usually, I envision some covert wing of an administration, working in the shadows to discredit you and yours, blurt out propoganda to try and sway people into mindlessly following them over a cliff.

EVERY administration uses tactics like spinning the truth to their advantage. It is up to ordinary Americans to filter through the crap and find the relevant facts. With today's technology, wide range of programming and plethora of would-be pundits, it is but a simple matter to find out all sides of an issue and formulate your own beliefs.

But the way the Obama group has been running things lately, I feel that they believe the presidency is locked up. Tossing reporters off the plane to 'make room'; even though they were major reporting networks they were supplanted by Ebony and Jet (I believe Jet, though someone also mentioned another periodical that escapes me now). Why? Were there not lesser papers that could have been booted? Sure. But THOSE papers did not endorse John McCain.

To be fair, McCain did the same thing to a couple of reporters, though THOSE reporters actually wrote some scathing things about the man. They were not normal reporters who worked for a paper. They were columnists who wrote opinionated reports.

Anyway, take the fact that the papers who supported McCain were booted, Orlando and Pennsylvania news sations getting banned from interviews after they asked hard and direct questions of Biden, and now in Colorado a pair of portable restrooms were put up in front of a store that had dissenting comments toward Obama in it's window, and you can see where this is going.

All of this and the fact that Mr. Obama wants to get a 250,000 man 'national security force' going; one that is funded and trained as well as the military... why is that? Sort of smells like what another 'great' leader in the world did. Adolf Hitler.

If you haven't heard about it, don't take it from me. Take it from the man's own speech from Colorado Springs- a speech, by the way, that he left the script and made the following comment on his own:

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

Why in the world do we need that? What will be the cost? The worst part is that a civilian agency would be able to arrest citizens, unlike the military. My main question, though, would be that instead of making this new, goverment-controlled police force, why not pump the money into the current police force? Or does he not think that our hard-working law enforcement officials can handle the problems?

As is written about elsewhere "He plans to double the Peace Corps' budget by 2011, and expand AmeriCorps, USA Freedom Corps, VISTA, YouthBuild Program, and the Senior Corps. Plus, he proposes to form a Classroom Corps, Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, Veterans Corps, Homeland Security Corps, Global Energy Corps, and a Green Jobs Corps. Here a corps - there a corps - everywhere a corps corps. "

The guy is spelling out a massive entitlement-driven country and the folks are lapping it up. NOT ONE person I spoke with about why they are voting for Obama could say what he has done in order to get their vote. All they say is 'Change' 'Different from what has been going on', 'Failed Bush policies' and other mantra that has been spouted ad nauseum.

I asked if they wanted their kids to get free abortions paid for by tax-payers, all without their knowledge- each one said hell no, they would never let their daughter do that; At that point, I pointed to Obama's desire to enact the Freedon of Choice Act. All is quiet in the Obanation Front. Why are folks so damn clueless about a candidate they want in office?

Our way of life is about to die. I support the Right To Life. So dammit, stop this abortion from happening.
