I was listening to the CPAC conference going on today and Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich brought the house down with a dead-on accurate assessment of the current administration.
His mantra for the speech was How Dumb Do They Think We Are?
He began with Obama’s rant against CEO’s and their private jets, when Speaker Pelosi now has her own taxpayer funded private jet.
His biggest score, though, was the fact that Obama swore not to raise taxes on anyone making less than $250K, but the new budget has over $600B in energy taxes, including electricity, heating oil, natural gas and gasoline.
So, unless you don’t use any of those, you are going to get your taxes raised. The fact that it is not ‘income’ tax is irrelevant. If you tax energy, EVERYONE (except the Amish and perhaps some hidden commune in the mountains of northern Idaho) will get hit. And the Carbon Cap and Trade program will help drive the coal industry to its knees.
If CPAC puts out You-Tube videos, I highly recommend watching them. Even my liberal friends should look, because at least see what our side is proposing.
