The Obama-Limbaugh Bipartisan Stimulus Plan

I like it. Obama told the Republican leadership that they needed to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh; that was not how things got done in Washington.  Yes, this was the same meeting where he told them ‘I Won’ and thus ushered in that era of bipartisan support he has been touting.

I don’t listen to Rush. I did a few times back in the early 1990’s, when I was hanging around a friend of mine who was a big Rush supporter, but other than the occasional Rush comment found online, I never listen.

I don’t think, however, that Obama has ANY right to tell ANYONE who they can or cannot listen to. This is just another glimpse into his narcissistic mentality.

‘I won’ translates into ‘Get in line. I am popular. People love me. I am the American Dream. Do what I say or get out of my way.’

That is exactly what Rush and company are saying about this so-called bipartisanship talk. It means, if you are not with the democrats, you are obviously a partisan dissenter. If you are on board with their agenda, then you are being bipartisan because you caved on your values to come to their side.

So I listened to Rush for the first time today, because I wanted to hear his reply to Obama’s ludicrous comment. He came up with a truly bipartisan stimulus that I thought was cool, albeit a bit contrived.

53% of America voted Obama, and 46% voted McCain. 1% voted others. So to be fair, we will give that extra 1% to Obama. Of the 825 billion stimulus, let us give 54% to Obama to spend as he sees fit, and give 46% to Rush to spend as he sees fit.

Rush touts capital gains cuts and corporate tax rate cuts across the board. This would make up the largest portion of his half. He figures Obama to spend his portion on those infrastructure, schools, IT, bridge projects, etc. We could then measure the effectiveness of each plan.

Of course, nothing like that will ever happen. The Democrats have too much at stake. Obama said that if they do nothing, the Democrats might lose seats in 2010 and he might lose in 2012.

2012!!!

He has been in office just one week and already he is planning for his next election!! The guy is already far beyond what I was worried about. He truly thinks he is the Messiah come to liberate his people.

The revolution is at hand. Will you be a leader or a follower?

  1. The stimulus plan is a fantastic idea. If Obama is truly bipartisan, he should go for it.

    Great post.

  2. I was glad to hear that he asked to have the 'family planning' content removed from the bill. Although, his executive order to open funding worldwide for this will probably scompensate.

It seems that whenever something embarasses Obama, he tosses it under the bus. We need to get proactive about it all.
