The Global Poverty Act

Poverty.

As Christians, we know that one of the worst things suffered by children of the world is poverty, starvation, sickness and disease. Even those of us who make very little, recognize that there are millions of us out there doing far, far worse, and in an effort to help we send out money to one of many worthwhile charity organizations.

As a nation, the United States of America is second to none in the global aid provided to the rest of the world. It is in light of this that I wish to bring attention to a wonderful act of kindness brought before the US Senate by non other than our newly-elected Glorious Leader- Barack H. Obama.

In this act, Obama proposes that we require the President of the United States to direct the Secretary of State in an effort to aid the United Nations (our friend and ally in the war on hunger) in achieving their 8 goals of the Millennium Declaration.

What does this mean for us? Not much, except that it would require aid to the tune of about $845 billion over the span of 13 years. This is, of course, in addition to what we already send overseas.

Even better, this money would not be limited to our friends and allies of the world, but would be used as the United Nations sees fit (ie- by those countries who hate us as well), because after all, the greater good outweighs the fact that a country's leadership wishes us and our friends destroyed.

From some leading think tanks comes the following comment:

Specifically, it would "declare" that the official U.S. policy is to eliminate global poverty, that the president is "required" to "develop and implement" a strategy to reach that goal and requires that the U.S. efforts be "specific and measurable."

Kincaid said that after cutting through all of the honorable-sounding goals in the plan, the bottom line is that the legislation would mandate the 0.7 percent of the U.S. GNP as "official development assistance."

"In addition to seeking to eradicate poverty, that (U.N.) declaration commits nations to banning 'small arms and light weapons' and ratifying a series of treaties, including the International Criminal Court Treaty, the Kyoto Protocol (global warming treaty), the Convention of Biological Diversity, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women and the Convention of the Rights of the Child," he said.

Those U.N. protocols would make U.S. law on issues ranging from the 2nd Amendment to energy usage and parental rights all subservient to United Nations whims.

Kincaid also reported Jeffrey Sachs, who runs the "Millennium Project," confirms a U.N. plan to force the U.S. to pay 0.7 percent of GNP would add about $65 billion a year to what the U.S. already donates overseas.

And the only way to raise that funding, Sachs confirms, "is through a global tax, preferably on carbon-emitting fossil fuels," Kincaid writes.

So there you have it. In order to support the UN's agenda of worldwide equality for everyone, the United States taxpayer would be levied another tax to help pay for this new spending requirement from our new administration. It isn't enough that we WANT to help, now will be REQUIRED to help.

  1. You're making me feel better. I felt like dropping a bomb on your earlier post... not those coooool Trinity Atom Bomb's in Grace Explosions that do positive things spiritually (the way I do the symbollism)... but I was concerned about an "f bomb"... I mean... I didn't know if I'd be tempted. lol

You know they SAY that they are going to eradicate hunger by taking money WE DON"T HAVE TO GIVE AT THIS TIME. But, really, some warlord somewhere will get the money and take it. More children will die as the result of giving the UN money. We have CHRISTIAN CHARITIES here in the US. We don't CHOOSE SOCIALISM - especially GLOBAL SOCIALISM to meet the needs of children. We choose Christian charities.

OK, I totally say we need to Constitutionally secede as Sovereign States to REJECT these UN Global Socialism provisions.

Someone wants to rule the world, now don't they?? What pack of dictators has EVER done good when they've gotten power??

Basically, these power mad dictators point out social problems declare they need to "take over" to 'bring change'... and the whole thing is about feeding their megalomaniac egos... they're Godwannabe psychosis... their greed... their lust for power... and NEVER do the REAL ISSUES get addressed...

because politicians are the MOST ROTTEN people WHENEVER they say, "We need more power at a GLOBAL level".

THEY are the world's GREATEST EVIL.

What kind of suckers believe their trash talk??

What kind of idiots believe their garbage that they are going to help anyone?

They want TO TAKE AWAY FREEDOM!!!!

And if anyone thinks that Government CROOKS and POLITICIANS accomplish any good... that's not how Government works.

They steal money and it's organized CRIME that gathers anytime Government gathers money.

At a global level, the greatest evil would be unleashed by this Global Poverty Initiative.

    What's the Bottom-line:

It would PRODUCE Global Poverty... not solve it.

Are you going to agree to remain a citizen of the UNUSA??

    I won't. Screw them.

    :)
